Become a Soccer Referee!

There are quite a few people who have indicated that they, or their teens, or their spouses are interested in becoming a certified, patched referee, and with the shortage we have seen over the past couple of years, now DEFINITELY the time!

Wait ... you mean NOW now?

Yes ... NOW now!

This does not mean it has to become a new profession, and it certainly doesn't mean to have to take a ton of games, but what it does mean is YOU can help WSA and NHSL further develop a network of people who can be reached to step in and help with games.

Middle school kids, high school kids, college students who are home, parents, even COACHES!  This is a great addition to your overall understanding of the game AND, if you end up in a situation where WSA needs someone, you can help out and referee a game here and there, and maybe even help out other teams in the club!  If you love the game, or just love SOMEONE who loves the game ... now is your chance to help!

Becoming a certfied, patched referee allows you to work and be scheduled for games throughout NHSL, or you can even decide to just help out with the WSA Rec games here in town if that's what you choose ... in short ... we need YOU!  If you are interested, please consider taking the course!  Referee a few games ... make a little bit of extra money along the way ... but most important - make a DIFFERENCE in the lives of our players!     See below for more information (for those that are already registered with NHSL, some of the background and Safesport requirements may already be done).

The state referee committee will be offering a new grassroots referee certification course on June 12th - for those over 18 that need a full background check, this may be too late, but for those between 13 and 18, there may still be time to join.  The course details are below.

Additionally, the State Referee committee is planning to offer additional courses this summer - visit https://nhreferee.org/new-grassroots-referee/ for more details!

Griffin Park Entrance and Exit

Good afternoon!  We hope everyone is ready to enjoy the long holiday weekend ...

Just a quick reminder from the town, who is currently working on adding additional signage and working with the Windham PD to increase patrols and awareness:

For those of you using Griffin Park – please note that traffic is ONE WAY - there is SINGLE entrance, and a SINGLE exit

The sole Entrance is the one closest to Johnson’s Farm, and applies to both lanes of the parking lot.  Due to safety, we want to remind you not to enter through the exit.

Please remind family members who might be visiting the Park for the day as well as help spread the word to any visiting teams, as we are extremely concerned about the safety of our residents, especially our kids, in the parking lot.

Thank you!

WSA Summer Camp Registrations are Open

Hard to believe, but we're talking about summer camps!!

We're happy to say that this year we will be returning to the great outdoors with our traditional summer camps, with the appropriate CDC/State of NH COVID-19 guidelines and Protocols in place for the safety of all.

Please visit our Sumer Camps page for more information and links to the registrations!  These camps are fun for the kids, a great way to get some touch time with the ball in the "off season" and a super way to support WSA as the summer camps are great fundraisers for the club!

Be safe - we'll see you soon!
